pressure cookers are awesome. I use mine a ton for making stews, curry, chili, soup, stock etc - you can get the same taste and tenderness of meat in minutes vs hours of slow cooking.
It might take a while to get used to how powerful it is, and how the cooking times of ingredients vary. If you put starchy veg like carrots or potatoes in a pressure cooker along with meat, the veg will be sludge long before the meat cooks, for example. Try just using it to cook meat at first. Fry some onions, garlic etc in the pan, brown some meat, season, add some stock, and put the lid on the cooker. When it's done, add veg and more seasonings. Instant stew.
