my 2000 ford focus died.  well it's most likely the alternator.

the car wouldn't start, so i got a jump, it ran fine but then the battery light came on, i let it run for a few minutes just in case it was going to die on me again, it didn't so i drove 50 ft our of my work's parking lot only to have it die on me on the road.

my cell is at home so i had to come back to work and arrange a tow

i'm fucking 30 miles from home too.

argh.

Apparently a 2000 focus runs to 2008. Mine went bad this year too haha.

Alternators aren't that expensive I don't believe, should cost $150-$200.  Still sux though.

i'm just more annoyed than anything.  within the past 14 months i've already put 2k into repairs.
