I picked it up for $30 because I needed a new game BAD. (a la my search for even a GBA game)

This is the best arcade racer I've played since Burnout 2. It leans more towards the better SF Rush games than Burnout though. The star objective gives it a special flavor that makes the game much more interesting than it would have been as a simple "finish first" racer. Some courses I found myself ignoring my placing and just grinding out stars, others I found that I absolutely had to have 1st place in order to pass the star requirement. After I get through the courses once, I am going to see if I can pass them all without getting first and just merely pounding out stars through the course.

I wonder why there hasn't been sequel talk yet. It's a game that did really good(quality wise) its first time out, but still has areas that can easily be added to. Some online play, more courses, add Bikes maybe, more multiplayer in general.

Probably one of my favorites for Wii. I don't know why but I had an incredibly hard time getting used to steering without careening off the track and into trees and boulders every time I would turn

I never picked the original up, but I played it at a friends' house and it NEEDS an online sequel.

So you are Excite for Excite Truck, eh? It was an amusing rental for me but I got bored of it after a while. Not something I'd shell out for personally, seems o have quite the vocal fanbase on these here interwebs.

Great fucking racer; beats Motorstorm in my opinion. Also kicks the shit out of Mario Kart. The one fault is the awful music, BUT you can use your own MP3s, so it's all good.

Excite Truck is great. It is the type of game you would see at an arcade with the music too loud and had rumble in the seats with fans blowing at your face as you played. You had very little understanding about how much awesomesome was going on, but you were taking it all in.

was fun for 10 mins for me, which is 5 more mins than motorstorm was fun.

flatout UC is still the best arcade racer this gen

The way people spoke about it I hoped it would give a similar sense of elation to the mighty SSX, but it didn't at all. It's cool that some people liked it, but it didn't click with me at all.

I haven't been able to do an air spin for some reason. Do you just keep turning in the air? Right now I am trying to get S medals on all the courses.

Tilt the wiimote slightly back. Hold 1+dpad, slightly tilt to one side and then rock back in the other direction.

This game has so many damn problems and suffers from being a launch title with a stupid name.
BUT ITS SO PPHHHHUUUUUUUNNN.

And in my book strangely one of the Wii games with the most outstanding graphics. That doesn't bode well for the Wii though..

yeah the spins are pretty wierd, hit youtube for a good demo. Its a really unusual controller swinging motion
