recommend new computer mouseeeeeeeee

ok, so the mouse will be for

- in addition to usual PC shit, some moderate [not really high end, super accuracy hardcore] gaming on the gaming platform that God intended [i.e. PC gaming]

i want it to have

- midsized, competent wheel.  old mouse of mine had some terribly messed wheel and click buttons, sometimes registering a single click as two clicks.  dumbass mouse.  sometimes the wheel - when used to scroll pages- would spaz and 'joggle' the page instead of scrolliing properly. SMH
- midsize in overall size
- i believe logitech and MS make the most best ones?
- good accuracy [but not crazy or high end accuracy -  red laser should be sufficiejnt, yes?].  my other old mouse spazzed out once in a while, esp. in a frag match it was freigging frustration. sometimes the mouse cursor movement would jerk instead of smooth glide.
- wireless [btw, how good are teh batt life on these mouses? ]
- price: no more than about 50 bux. no need for 80 bux mouse or soemthing

as always, tahnks for any help in advnace

Fuck wireless.  Get a Logitech G9.  Best mouse ever.  I won't even bother upgrading to the next version unless there are some compelling new features, but I'm not sure what else can be packed into a mouse.  Smooth, back me up here.

The G5 is also fine (and in your price range)

Some even prefer it, but I love the mousewheel on the G9 (which debuted on the MX Revolution).

I actually have the G5. It is excellent; not the best, but like TVC said, it's a nice cheaper alternative to the G9. And yes, fuck wireless. Dealing with batteries is ftl. You could get a rechargeable one I suppose, but it's still a hassle; besides, there are no decent models that I can think of in your price range

1. whats wrong with wireless? batt life? inaccuracy? other than those, i have to go wireles for the sheer cordless convenience

2. see i was looking to spend more like 30-40 bux.  i know the really basic ones go 10-20 bux, altho they're too basic for my tastes.  i dont really need fancy buttons i may not need. so things like on-teh-fly sensitivity, adjustable weights, extra functionality buttons - i dont care for any of those, and gladly willing to shave off the price.  I just care about decent accuracy and reliability [my old mouse, as I said, had this unreliable tendency to mis-register my clicks or wheels], and good contour/size for my hands [which is average hand]...the G5 logitech's shape i find to be very likeable.

still thanks for the links and high recommendation

PS: ok how about htis? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826100001

30 bux.  technically higher dpi than logitech G5 [2500 vs 2000].  supposedly light, which is what i prefer, altho the size is less optimal.  The only thing:  is OCZ a good mouse company? also, i just found out it doesnt work with 64bit windows WTF

and while we're at it, how bout a good, yet pretty basic NON-GAMING mouse [for my sister, who doesnt game, just does normal internet stuff]?

oh, and hows your opinions on those weirdo wacko jacko upright mouses [the one that supposedly lets your hand and wrist be more comfy]?

I'd just see what logitech has in that price range.  Logitech is the king of consumer mice at the moment.

I've never used upright mouses as I've never had problems with normal ones.
