I did a search for God Hand but nothing came up. Clearly Evilbore needs a thread about the best beat-em-up of all time.

It's pretty obvious that Clover had a very low budget when making God Hand, but they made the most of it. God Hand isn't the best-looking game around, but it's an absolute blast to play.

If you haven't played it, you must play it now.

God Hand is awesome, and is one of my favorite games on the PS2.

One of my favorite games ever. I don't think I ever did finish a KMS run on Hard Mode. I made it to 8-4 and probably went through 70 game over screens before I gave up.

One of the few 3D games that totally clicked and felt natural for me, for whatever reason. Reminded me almost of a 3D, free movement Punch Out!! with lots of amazing campiness that's sadly lacking in today's games.

I probably need to play this game again. I beat the first level, and then screwed around in the casino for about an hour, and I haven't played it since.

I liked how you could beat up people in the casino but then you get attacked by bouncers.

Why I think God Hand is the best beat-em-up of all time:

1) The gameplay is just awesome. I haven't had this much fun beating up fodder enemies since I found out I could throw guys at the screen in Turtles in Time.

2) The combo system. God Hand is unrivaled by other beat-em-ups in terms of depth.

3) God Hand is very hard, but very fair as well. It's not like some of the old arcade beat-em-ups (Final Fight) where a bunch of guys gang up on you and you have no chance. If you die, it's usually your own fault.

4) Other stuff (like the awesome casino)

God Hand has the most forgiving difficulty out there.  It takes the stupid ass idea of scalable enemies, turns it into an arcade combo system, churns it out as something awesome, then gives you incentive to try and not get hit and keep doing better.  It also helps that almost every aspect of the combat is more reflex based than anything else out there.  It also helps that you can customize your style of play, so you can be someone who dodges and waits to pound on strong attacks, or someone that wants to lay down a flurry on the enemy, or even someone who wants to put some range between you and other enemies, or even someone who wants to stun enemies.  It is amazing in so many ways.
