Ready your spring-loaded propeller boat and fasten your seatbelt, “Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts” is hitting U.S. store shelves on November 14, and pre-orders begin today. For the retail price of $39.99, those who pre-order at participating retailers will get in on all the Banjo fun right off the starting line, and as a special bonus, will also receive a free download code for the original “Banjo-Kazooie,” launching on Xbox LIVE Arcade later this fall.

That is pretty rad.  Free games by pre-ordering is a great trend.

The EB by work had the Pub Games, I'm gonna preorder this shit from there.

Any word when the SR2 preorder bonuses will hit stores?

It also says that people who pre-order the game get to play Banjo-Kazooie on the XBLA two weeks sooner than everyone else. :D

So you need to put down a $40 deposit?  Or is the game $40?

It kinda worries me that the game is only $40.  Wasn't it supposed to be one of MS's big titles?

Big FAMILY titles.

Anywho, anyone ever gotten a download code through Amazon? Can I trust that I'll receive it or is it better to get it at brick and mortar?

I almost wish I had a 360.

Or at least a 360 controller and a PC port of Banjo.

I had this pre-ordered for a week or more.  I don't know anymore when I pre-order things.  I actually got a call saying my copy of Too Human was in, and I never pre-ordered it.

I believe you, Kev.  Trolls are always more effective if you actually play the game.

God damn what a mess this game is, visually. It being by Rare sort of suggests that it will be a mess in most ways, but holy crap at that clutter.

I don't get the complains about the art.  Banjo's a better looking Lego game than the actual Lego games.

Also, it's only $40!

Bug nasty, cluttered and poorly balanced. Another Rare game developed seemingly without an actual art director on staff.

But hey, it's got lots of detail, that makes it look great! /Xbot

You realize that that particular stage is a combination of previous Banjo levels in one area, right?

And poorly balanced?  You haven't even fucking played it so how the hell could you possibly come up with that conclusion?

Doesn't matter what it is, it's a cluttered, nasty mess.

And poorly balanced?  You haven't even fucking played it so how the hell could you possibly come up with that conclusion?

So let me get this straight. You motherfuckers can say that it looks great, but I need to have played it to determine that its visually poorly balanced? Brilliant.

While I do agree that Rare has nasty ass aethetics with their games, there are parts of Banjo that do look nice.

So basically, it's poorly balanced?

Yes, but that is the style they are going for; that whole robotic/natural thing or something.  I don't like it most of the time, but some places like Showdown Town look quite good.

I mean, this is a huge step up from shit like Kameo and PDZ.  Although to be honest, Viva did look good.
