The vintage skin is pretty trippy. I managed to get an army of ships to fight along with me which was kinda cool to look at.

I don't think I'm buying it.

btw, if any Japtards read this... I was browsing a friendlist of some random Japanese guy on the Galaga Leaderboard, and all his friends had "E&E" in their motto.. what is that?

Ended up getting it. Second stage is definitely a lot harder than the first. Unlike Galaga this game is not for the casuals. There's a lot of quick thinking strategy going on involving how you place your two drone ships.

It is like a puzzle game in that aspect. Kind of like how Ikaruga is both a shooter and a puzzle game. So far it seems like a good purchase if you're into shooters and are looking for something other than your average twin stick shooter. Too tired right now to understand the scoring system. I'll work on that tomorrow.

Anyone else playing this? The third stage is pretty evil and really forces you to learn how to use your two drones appropriately. I'm not a huge fan of how the scoring system is set up. There's not a lot of room for error to get a good score going.

I tried the demo and thought it was too one note to pick up.

The demo really doesn't show how crazy the game can get. You can pretty much play through the demo like a standard shooter and not even use the drones. Once you hit the second stage it pushes you to learn the controls. Then the game opens up in an Ikaruga puzzle/shooter sort of way.

Well I would have preferred Galaga like they did PacMan CE, and with Castle Crashers next week, I'm gonna be fine passing on this one

Yeah this game starts out too slow.  At least the trial does.  It doesn't feel fast, furious, or trippy like Pac Man CE.

I just bought GeoWars 2 last week so I'll skip this and wait for castle crashers.
