2008 has been a horrible year

2008 has been a good year so far, but a lot less exciting than 07 for me... Last year went by in a whiz-bang of dates, hanging out with some very cool au-pairs, large parties every weekend in the summertime, reacquainting with old friends along with meeting new ones, and hitting up the clubs a lot. This has been more low-key so far, especially ever since I started dating a woman who's much more of a homebody.

Great year for games, though: TWEWY, Brawl, FF4DS, DQ4DS, Infinite Undiscovery, Tales of Vesperia, Wario Land: Shake It!!, Star Ocean 1 PSP, and MEGA MAN 9

And musically this year has been very good for me: people are starting to get sick of minimal, progressive house is on the rise again in a funkier and more 80's and electro-influenced form, deep house is getting big, only thing that sucks is trance hasn't been pulling its weight this year.

McCain won't be worse than Bush.  I expect both Obama and McCain to begin rolling back some of Bush's damaging legislation but the former will do a lot more than the latter.  The environment of the Republicans is much different now that many leading Republicans and Neocon think tanks (PNAC in particular) have lost all their power.

Still, picking a Republican after the severe damage wrought by a Republican is brain dead but I think America is just dumb enough to do it.

word is that a lot of people around mccain (specifically his foreign policy tards) really are even worse than bush's buddies.  the next four (eight?) years could suck reeeeeal bad.

2008 is pretty big change for me as well.  I graduate university and head off to "the real world."

Fortunately, I already have a job lined up so much of the insecurity of the last semester is gone.  As long as I pass my FE Exam and my classes, I will be fine.

ditto: as long as I don't take it too easy I'll be fine. Moving to a new city on my own as well which shall be interesting.
Though the real world from what I've seen is pretty shitty.

The real world is a refreshing change of pace.  I actually can't wait to get into it.  It will be nice to work hard and get compensated with a fair wage, instead of various shit jobs where you work your ass off for a buck or two above minimum wage.  Plus it will be nice not to be crushed under burdensome debt, which has been on my ass since I was 17.
