it was funny in the first few videos but then when people started posting all these pictures and having avatars of it close up, its face hideously contorted into a "cute" frown, all sense of cuteness quickly dissipated

I still think Sackboy, and the new Eyepet creature, are both 'cute'.  I can see how someone would have a problem with Sackboy since he really is just a basic model meant to be molded to how you want, but even still it is really cute.  The Eyepet create is just downright cute.  It is like a mix between a monkey, a dog, and a cat, only better that that.  Only time the Eyepet looks bad is when they showed him without fur.

what makes you assume i'm only showing this to men?  i was referring mainly to the girls i've shown it to -- you know, people who generally have an idea of what "cute" is.

I won't miss having levels from Europe or Japan.  There's so many goddamned players out there in the U.S. that there will already be thousands of creations I never see.  Plus, if there's ever any really, REALLY good ones made, I'm sure Sony will put them up on a pedastal for all to see.
