Game runs great at everything ultra high on my computer, but I forgot that I am terrible at RTS games are rarely even played them in the past.

I played a game with some guy for 20 minutes and was incredibly confused about what to do.  Eventually I just built a bunch of airsubs and cruised around the map to check out what he had going, which was obviously much better than mine.

Cajole, how does this run on your laptop? I'm downloading it even though I'm not sure if it will work.

I don't know, because it took forever to download the beta (I was playing TF2 at the same time) and now the required patch is even bigger.  :'(

i keep getting patch download failures with the beta client
so i looked into it and you can get the patch from ea's site instead:

I need to get a new desktop next year. I hate how this looks on my laptop compared to the vids I've seen online.

1280x800 on medium settings and it runs and looks great. I played my first game on high and it was a bit too much.

Also, automatch has never worked for me.

Automatch worked for me, I had it set to 1v1 and random for race.  It took a little bit though.

yeah i still cant connect to the gamespy servers for whatever reason.

Ive never had an issue with any game ever online (lag aside) so Im willing to bet its not my fault, and looking at their forums im not alone

will wait for next patch
