I've actually been enjoying my reWii so far.
House of the Dead 2 &3 are great fun, and I'll probably buy another controller/perfect shot setup for two-fisted action (and for co-op with my friend who also likes light gun games).
That Link shooting game I got for $5 was worth it, neat little time-killer.
I took back Super Mario Galaxy - got annoyed with running upside down after a while. Just not for me.
I also took back RE4. I owned it before I sold my Wii to demi, thought I'd give the control scheme another chance. Nope, still don't like it, always find myself aiming at the ground and shit when lots of enemies get near. I prefer the PS2 controls.
Took the return money (I take advantage of the 7 day Gamestop used game return policy all the time), and bought Mario Kart Wii. That's actually a lot of goofy fun. The wheel works well, at least for me. I was surprised at the online multiplayer, it's one of the smoothest online experiences I've ever had. I was connected and racing within twenty seconds. As a bonus, I didn't have to hear anyone talk.
Gonna Gamefly most Wii games, or buy them used for cheap. Think I'll try RE Umbrella Chronicles next, and after that Ghost Squad.
I guess the Wii is worth it to me for light gun games and a few other random FPS games like MOH: Heroes. Can't complain about the graphics, really, considering I still play blocky-assed PS1 games on the PSP. Looking forward to the new HotD: Overkill (that Sega dude's quote about it beating the shit out of horse grooming made me laugh).
I think there'll be some decent stuff in 2009, just not a lot. Which is fine. The Wii is my "whatever, whenever" machine, I'll do my in-depth console gaming on PS3 and 360.
