OK, I'll start it up.

The Club
It feels like Project Gotham with guns...I'm not kidding. It's fun, worth the $11 I paid for it, just not as good as the demo made it seem. Still the best part was talking Gamestop down from $40 to $11 for a used game :D

PURE demo
Got it for preordering, best extreme sports game I've played since SSX 3.

21st Century Drum & Bass (Mixed by Decoder)
Decent old school techstep mix circa 2000 by Decoder, can't really complain considering it's a 3CD mix of classic tracks and I got it in good condition for $1.50. Was worth the effort.

Calyx & Teebee - Anatomy
Best Drum & Bass I've heard in nearly a decade. Very dancefloor oriented but works really well in Geometry Wars 2, and the PURE demo.

permutated - there's usually a "what did you buy" thread for like, every day of the week, in the Real Talk (off-topic) section and usually includes gaming things or otherwise

it's kind of a MAF thing but everyone posts anyway, so there's no need for a "monthly" one

What version? I got it on XBLA because I thought the PSP's screen would be too small.

I want one of those Pure demos, but I'm not going to pre-order until I try it.  This is quite the pickle I have gotten myself into.

Ok, I'll help you out a bit since you're a new member but stick to the WDYB daily threads in the future.

This is the most ridiculous gaming item I bought in the last month, and possibly ever:

How much did that cost? Did it come with a stick shifter?

$400

It comes with two sticks: a 6 gears H-shifter and a sequential manual shifter.  It's PS3 and PC compatible.

That is a lot, but it seems really damn nice.  Two sticks also seems cool, especially of the 6 gear one is better than the G25 one.  I thought the G25 one was good for a home steering wheel, but couldn't really match what I got out of arcade games like Wangan Midnight and all that.

You have hardware control over steering degrees with the Porsche wheel so that's one advantage it has over the G25 for arcadey games.  Still, it's harder to play stuff like Grid with a wheel instead of a pad.

The 6 gear stick doesn't feel or look as realistic as the G25's but it doesn't mis-shift like the G25's.  Also, all the buttons are on the wheel instead of on the shifter so that makes games like G25 much easier to play.

Another plus for the Porsche wheel is that everything is wireless except for one power cable.  The G25 does have better pedals though.
