At the beginning of my school days, it was about $250.  Now?  $600.  Good thing this is my last semester.  Fuck.

Oh yeah, I know, I spent like $450 last semester, and I needed 2 books max per class. This semester one class has five textbooks, with all of them at least two.  :santocry

What pisses me off most about those huge textbook costs:

- A lot of times, you don't even use the texts that often or enough to justify the outrageous costs.
- You buy a book for $130 and if you return it at the end of the semester, you are lucky to get an offer higher than $25.

I plan on keeping my receipt and if there is an instance where I know I will barely use it and can just use a library copy for the few things I need, I'll just return the ones I don't really need.

i just wanted to pick up some groceries (omg soy milk), but when i turned onto the street next to mine i saw some dude flailing around on the ground while a bunch of people stood around screaming.  this cop runs up and is like "everybody step back and get inside NOW" but of course we all just sit and stare.  then about five million cop cars roll up and cops start running into people's backyards while some others chase us all away.  when i came back from the store the street was taped off and they were hauling a guy into a police van.  OH NOES WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY NEIGHBORHOOD
