Tales of Vesperia- Sweet and tasty! Like milk duds or whoppers.

Rom Hacks- Back into digging for hidden gems.

Hacking- Going through several editors trying to find the right game to make my own. Always had a thing for making 2d games.

Gunner's Heaven- Tiesto suggested this a couple of weeks ago and was shocked that I never heard of it. Can't wait to play it!

Castle Crashers- If I can get an online game going maybe I'll be able to play this again!

Brave Vesperia!

Lytey, watch out, I have read reports that Orochi has the worst load times in the history of the Musou series! May be worth waiting for the dashboard upgrade so you can install it on HDD at least.

It's fine.  A little long, but doable.  About eight seconds to get to a battle from the final selection screen.

I AM considering "retrying" the PS2 version again however.  I don't remember it having as much slowdown as the 360 version.  Might end up getting it back instead if it's not as bad.

Koei logo to Title screen- 5 seconds
main menu to story select- 2 seconds
Final select screen to story- 2 seconds
story to map- 5 seconds
map to play screen- 5-8 seconds (I remember 8 seconds before but I loaded up a save game and it did it in 5)

Not too bad if you ask me.

EDIT: I think the initial load must be the longest.  Cleared the previous stage and the next one loaded up in only 3 seconds.

I really only wanna play CC, but I'm sick of replaying the same levels since it rarely saves. I'll definitely get some in with the gf on Sunday tho

The Last Guy has ruined me for everything else right now.  After that replay X-Com

Yea, I had never even heard of that game but it's groovy as fuck.

Surprisingly SOCOM beta is pretty good.

I got in the SOCOM beta by preordering, but I also am supposed to be in through the Qore episode.  If Qore gives you a code, then I will give that out here, but you need to wait until the 11th or something like that.

Graphically the game is pretty bad, but it runs smooth, so can't complain.

Oh, and fantastic sixaxis usage.

Wicked. I just got done playing a few missions of the original Ghost Recon, so graphics quality is not much of a concern. Performance would be, so that's good to hear.

What's the sixaxis usage like?

When you stop moving, you basically tilt it to lean around corners, lean low, or poke your head up.  You can even set it so it has dynamic horizontal something...basically, even if you are holding the controller is a weird way, it will recognize that it is the middle if you stop moving.

And people are actually talking, and by talking I mean they are doing some crazy deep plans about how to fight the enemy.  I just saw a sniper asking for targets to pick off.  It isn't a few people either, it is a lot of people, and this is on a random server in the beta.  Ridiculous.

Sounds awesome. I don't think I've come across a game this generation in which people were actually devising deep plans, let alone following through with them.

Yeah, it was really surprising for me.  I don't want to make that many generalizations here, but they did speak with a southern accent and did use military terms and all that.  I do question how much these tactics helped when I topped the scoreboard by going Rambo on the enemy.

Two more things I left out/didn't know before.  First, you can dance on your enemies corpse (I died doing the robot on someone...).  Second, and I don't know how deep this is, but environments can be destroyed.  Cars and things like that can be destroyed, then there was a bridge that got destroyed in front of me as I was about to pass it.  I know this bridge wasn't some scripted trap or game mode since I did pass it several times already, and it was team death match.

i'll be finishing up on my big boss rank MGS4 run (finally), then i think i'll try to get back into ninja gaiden sigma.  of all the things they choose to copy off of dmc, why did they have to pick the stupid way the game forces you to go through easier difficulties to get to the hard ones?

Etrian Odyssey 2 - back to this after a hiatus of a few weeks. Just made it to the 5th stratum

BC: Rearmed - done all the challenge rooms (well all the ones required for the achievement anyway) so getting fucked up the ass on Super Hard

Infinite Undiscovery - wow, just wow

And I just picked up Saints Row for like 20 bucks while grocery shopping. Cant wait to play it. I hear its really good  :-*

i'm playing moh rising sun right now

hahaha, i forgot how bad this game is, it's the absolute worst of the moh series - enemies that spring out of nowhere and kill you with two swipes of their swords in a banzai charge, crappy graphics, mongoloid ai, HIDDEN SAVE POINTS (if i were a reviewer that would be an automatic 3 rating for me, i mean, seriously, what moron thought that was clever)

there has yet to be a decent WWII fps set in the pacific, fingers crossed for cod world at war

That reminds me, I was going to ask you distinguished fellows if there's any place that has a rundown on how well the various BC X1 games run on 360. I think such a site has been mentioned here before. Snagged some points today since some of the Katamari DLC is reduced and plan on attacking Bioshock tomorrow since it's rainy as fuck here.

Almost all of the ones I own have framerate problems (especially when there is a lot of action onscreen), fmv stutters, and varying graphical quirks

they are playable, but the problems are noticeable
