This little engine that could is still selling out two years after release.

Being as wildly successful as it is without even a single price drop yet, could the Wii actually be the one to have a decade strong lifespan?

Could the Wii be the first system to have 10 years of pure, unadulterated profits?

People keep saying that when the Wii fad dies down, Nintendo will just be ready to introduce Wii HD.

Does anybody think Nintendo will actually see any reason to?

Do you think that Nintendo will step up to the plate and continue to re-energize the fad with new games like Wii Music and whatever else lifestyle hobby can be turned into a video game by Miyamoto?

Will Wii be the system that truly piques the interest of the demoscene? A bunch of hackers clamoring to get every last bit of hertz out of the little engine that could.

Will Wii be the system that finally shows us Xfags and Sfags that input does what graphics (output) don't?

If it's doing this well now, imagine what'll happen when they release some games.

I think it'll be on its way out in a few more years. As the other systems drop people will begin to embrace real gaming even more. The 360 is down to $200 now right? :bow

Exactly.

And as much as 360 may drop down in price, Nintendo has the most room of any company to maneuver in price wars. I mean, they could start selling the system under the cost of production and still make guaranteed profit due to strong software sales.

Not only that, but the Wii does what 360 doesn't: motion control, which is exactly why it's selling to the masses, and the 360 isn't. 360 doesn't even sell to HD video enthusiasts anymore, seeing as how HD-DVD has died.

Could the Wii end up making the 360 look like the one that's niche, as ironic as it may be?

By the way, does anybody know what an "oa troll" is?

i was gonna say 3-4 years, but i bet there will be at least one revision before then

i want more ported over and hacked old school pc fps games

i've been playing quake with hacked controls and it's awesome, the pointer feels really natural - more so than some "legitimate" retail wii games, actually

will they simply update it with better controls, graphics and HD? Nintendo probably did the smart thing by holding out on HD; the market penetration is weak right now, it won't start peaking until 2011 or so as prices drop.

it wouldnt surprise me to see nintendo take it's handheld strategy to the Wii. after 4-5 years release a Wii SP with motion plus built in and something like 10gb internal storage.

I mean they still have new colours to do. There's plenty of life left in wii unfortunately :(

Honestly, you are one of the three shittiest posters i have seen in 10 years of various forum faggotry, alongside a guy on Rottentomatoes and one on Harmonycentrals political forum. I just sincerely hope you are not German (your name sounds like), so i don't have to feel ashamed of you as well.

Wii won't last 10 years.  I think Nintendo is going to pump out another under powered gimmick based system sooner than we all think.  I think they are going to go the Apple route and buy into that consumer that has been waiting for a Wii, but couldn't have one, so this new product they put out will be where his attention is put.

I just hope there is a new Nintendo handheld soon.

It's good that they were around to save gaming. Heaven help us if the Microsony approach won out.

Dude, you have to calm down.

Go take a shower.

Especially if you feel so dirty about being German.

Germans rock out with their cocks out, killing Jews and starting World Wars at will.

Be proud.
