Reggie was even a keynote speaker and Nintendo will be giving us copies of Wii Music and Animal Crossing for free.

Harmonix and EA put full, playable copies of Rock Band 2 in our swag bags.

All the big guns are here - Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Blizzard, EA, THQ, etc. Can't wait to see what free crap Microsoft and Sony give us tomorrow.

Oh and I won $175 on slots!

Yeah, I remember back in 2002 we scored a bunch of cool swag. Got a free X box, 5 x box games, a copy of burnout 2, and coupons for a free copy of Metroid Prime and $50 off a platinum GC. Sony gave us a nice hat and keychain. So don't be expecting much of anything from Sony, is my recommendation. Altho I hear that a year or two ago they did give out PSPs.

We also got to play new shit before it came out. I played Wind Waker, MP and other shit. I think I even posted impressions on GAF, since this was back when I bothered to post on the gaming forum. Of course the conference sucked because it was in Grapevine, TX where the home offices were and we weren't allowed to leave the hotel under threat of being fired.

The best retail trade show I ever went to was the Wherehouse Music Manager's Conference in 2001. We got all sorts of free cds and dvds and shit, but the best was that Vivid video and Digital Playground had tables in the vendor's hall. They had all sorts of porn stars (Chasey Lain, Tera Patrick and Dascha being the highlights) signing dvds and pictures and shit. Chasey Lain groped one of our female managers while she was getting her picture taken with her, and supposedly later that night they ended up hooking up.

Well, back when I was a manager I hate hate HATED racing games, because back then the Gran Turismo boring "realism" shit was big. So I would have never bothered to find out how awesome the Burnout series was if I hadn't been given a free copy of one of the Burnout games and discovered that crash mode was probably the most fun you could legally have while drunk.

If I was Gamestop manager, I'd only recommend stuff because I wanted it to perform well on the NPD for trolling purposes.

Holy shit, the stuff I have to tell you guys when I get back home. Crazy shit. I'm stuck in a really boring Microsoft workshop right now.

Sony is giving us free copies of Little Big Planet and SOCOM. Microsoft then topped them by sending us Fable II autographed by Molyneux (who did a great demo of it at session) and Gears of War 2. Sony am crying.

Best sessions have been Activision | Blizzard and EA Sports. Activision put together some exclusive footage of their portfolio rounded with some hysterical video of Ozzy getting lost iin their offices. It was a very "blue" presentation but after sitting through some awful vendor sessions, it was a breath of fresh air.

Peter Moore gave a great presentation at breakfast for EA Sports and showed off world premiere footage of Fight Night Round 4. He was pretty funny on stage.

I'm going to head to the expo tonight to play Gears and Street Fighter 4 tonight.

I've been up the entire trip pretty much. Neversoft flew in last night and ended up chatting with us at the bar last night. They are huge, huge nerds.

Oh, Microsoft is going to show off the new dashboard. Peace.

Conference is huge this year. The expo is insane apparently. Our general sessions are in the stadium arena no less.
