I've come up with 2 possible interpretations.

1)  Michael (aka SAINT Michael, as he is known by fans), says the Obama-centric phrase "Yes we can" when presented with a challenge.  Connie (who, note previous strips, wants more children) and Lawrence represent the Republicans that obviously cannot meet the challenge.  Obama reigns supreme.

2)  Michael (again, aka Saint Michael) acts like a jackass in order to get what he wants and tramples over everyone else (represented here by a gay child and his single mom), representing the warmongering of Republicans.  Since this strip was published on the anniversary of 9/11, i think this is more likely, although I would not doubt that Lynn would put both a bitter and a sweet message in a single strip.

I'm going to buy one of those $20 commemorative bills from the TV today, because I hate America.

I always wanted to buy one of those and actually spend it in a store.

I do not believe it is legal tender. Isn't it Libyan money or somesuch nonsense?

As for FBOFW, I think this is just another attempt by bitter Lyn to show that all men are horrible selfish assholes.
