Let's all take a second to remember all the huge GTAIV hype posts himuro made on here and GAF.

And now he's hyping SEGAs(AKA FAILURE) spiritual successor to an awful game called shenmue.

Can't wait until Capcom or somebody does it alot better and you flip flop on Yakuza.

Yakuza is River City Ransom 3D. No joke, no homo. There are a few differences (encounters on a separate screen, saving instead of awful passwords), but they're very similar.

It doesn't even try to be like GTA. Any similarities are coincidental.

You can view a synopsis towards the beginning.  After the opening cinematic your character visits a graveyard and you are given the option to reminisce about the previous year.  If you choose yes, you are treated to a series of cut scenes from the first Yakuza game summing up the story.
