The worst fanboy spin has always been the "Wait for..." that is currently plaguing the PS3.  Before that, it was the Game Cube.  Dreamcast fanboys were that way as well.  Basically any system that has no shot of being #1, you will find these fantards predicting that Mario Kart Double Dash or Little Big Planet's release will result in millions upon million of hardware sales.  Of course, this never, ever turns out to be the case so why this is still being said is beyond me.

The main reason I would say 360 has the best library is only because of the better multi-console versions of games.  In terms of exclusives it isn't such a beast like the PS2 was last gen.  I still think Dead Rising is the best exclusive on the system with Tales of Vesperia probably being up there as onen of the best.  Same case with Crackdown.

Eh I mustve bought 15ish games for my wii this year.

The gamecube was by far the worse drought console I ever owned.  2004(5?) was metroid echoes ( who wanted an uninspired sequel?) and Pikmin 2.  I think Jungle Beat came out too.  Third Party support worth buying was at zero. Twas another year of constant Melee.  Prior I had stated I was fine with getting a good one or two releases every few months (I still abide by that), but then when your release schedule is dud (kirby derivative racer from the n64) after dud (1080 snowboarding avalanche) and constant Mario whoring I couldnt defend that shit anymore. 

If it wasnt for me discovering Advance Wars and Warioware I probably wouldve swore off them forever.  Pikmin was ace though.
In retrospect it feels like Nintendo was making the gamecube/gba a stopgap leading up to the ds/wii.  Its the only way the lack of effort and quality control make any damn sense.

This is a good point. People do this a lot but they ignore frontloadedness for most games (hardcore games). I think "it only had 2 months to chart" is a more reasonable excuse for something like Brain Training. "Only 2 weeks to chart" is not really a good excuse unless there is some kind of shipping shortage or some catastrophic event that prevented a large segment of the buying demographic from buying days 1-14.

Studies on this in the Japanese market show that a game's LTD sales are like 60% first day or first week.

360 has got the best accumulated lineup among current consoles, but not to the point that xbots can plausibly hide their corporate loyalties behind a natural preference for the platform all the games are on. that's the particular prerogative of ps2 fans. and xbots just can't keep their hands off it

just yesterday i was playing the pure and motorstorm 2 demos in succession and wondering whether xbots had forced themselves to prefer pure or whether they were simply led that way by their infallible instinct for the dullest embodiment of a given theme. it's a shame that bitter sega fans have all become bitter xbots, cos once upon a time they would have been well equipped to appreciate motorstorm. by now i'm sure their tastes have been thoroughly debased

Surprisingly it still isn't perfectly smooth, but it is still worlds better than what was in the first game.  I wonder if the demo one will be the same as the final game.

Motorstorm PR is basically Motorstorm 1 with new locations and tweaked driving.  It is more of the same, which is good if you liked Motorstorm 1 (like me) and bad if you didn't like it.  I don't know when the 'free' demo will actually be out, but they did say eventually.

In the demo, vehicle selection is a 2d screen. It was quicker than the first by a lot. The demo track wasn't great, but you have that feel of Motorstorm back almost immediately, except they've tightened the handling up a bit. Felt absolutely great.

I was preparing not to check it out because, well, I think it's a little too soon and I am not really in the mood for a racer right now, but it was awesome. And the rumble was nice, too.

Graphically the build is a little old but the attract build is visually unbelievable.

I thought the Pure demo played totally different from Motorstorm.  You almost never had to change your actions based on other racers and almost always were just racing for yourself.  And even in this visually inferior build, the one part of the track where you make a huge jump and see all the mountains looked pretty damn good.  I'm also curious to see how much the heat/water/vegetation aspect plays into the game since it was almost completely absent from the demo.

I have yet to see where installing on the PS3 has given a game an advantage over the 360 version.  The only thing you get in the end are load times that are comparable to the 360.  That's it.

I know people love to call bullshit on that but a majority of those people haven't played the games on both machines or are even capable of doing so.
