The sad thing is it looks like the remnants are going to miss the Carolinas. We still need the rain, although Faye remnants helped. Hanna only drenched the eastern parts of the area.

What can I say, it's sometimes like we're living in southern California. All the rain systems seem to pass north of us these past few years. Climate change, what are you going to do.

I was in Myrtle Beach during Hanna, the wind was very noisy howling through the hotel. Ike seems a lot scarier, if Hanna was like that we would have left.

Most of houston is far enough inland not to be flooded out, although power loss is a good possibility. The closer one is to Galveston and the coast, the worse it's going to be.
