i remember really enjoying it at first. the item creation thing was addictive, being able to explore the dungeons out of order was cool too, and the battle system being really different back then. but after the first continent iirc, i felt it started sucking. by the time i got to that last planet thing i was playing it just because i made a bet with my cousin.

i also remember getting to the last boss, thinking "wow, what a pansy" and then going back to some city for whatever dumb reason. then i accidentally triggered an event with his daughter/wife/loli interest/whatever. when i got back to him, he had gone super saiyan or some shit and i couldn't even damage him. mothafucker

Did anyone ever beat the final boss in his ultimate form? I tried, but you had to be like Lv. 200 just to not get instantly killed by him. I grinded to around 160, but I got bored of the endless dungeon eventually, and never beat him.

I tried to go through the Post Game dungeon on my PSP but its infamous for locking up. It did it to me once and I was like "fuck shit shit". I dig how the game allows you to break the fuck out of it within the first 3 hours.

i never did the final boss in his true form because it was too much of a pain in the ass.  but i played through the game twice, back to back, and i played it again and it still rocks.

i thought it would be fair to judge the game on it's real game content and not the extras.  with all the customization and characters to find in the game, all the abilities and armor, and not to mention the action based fighting, this game is still top notch.

Did everything in this game but fight the final boss with the limiter removed... such an amazing game though. They don't make 'em like this anymore. SO4 better deliver, after the disappointing #3.

exactly.  i couldn't get into #3 AT ALL.  there seems to be a lot of work going into #4 and like all the tri-ace games it's gonna be top quality and pushed to the limit of current technology.  unfortunately, am i gonna be able to deal with the voice acting?  is it gonna have the ability to turn the voices off?  (valkyrie profile 2 and star ocean 3 did, which was awesome).  are they gonna be more realistic looking or is it more 17 year old bubble heads saving the universe?

so many unanswered questions.
