I am considering the controller, but I am covered on the stick front.

So that's the official SF4 joystick?    :-\

I've no faith in Madcatz.  Guess I'm just gonna have to get a PS3/360 stick from arcadeinabox.

I don't know if having a fan help out is the best solution here, so hearing something like that doesn't stop my worries.

Looks like they are basing the d-pad on the neo geo one.

I like the Saturn/Genesis D-pad more, but it is still a great pad for fighting games.  It is basically the middle ground between an analog stick and d-pad.

sucks that the 360 pad is wired but since i use a wired pad 70% of the time i'm okay with it.

now i just need to know when they are available for preorder.

markman said that the dpad design is not final.

What exactly is "premium" about the premium sticks aside from having better art?  Its the same shitty "ball-on-a-stick" and the same outtie buttons.  No HAPP controls?  No sale.

The premium sticks supposedly use real arcade parts like the HRAPs and Virtua Stick.  Depending on the reviews, I might just buy two premium stick for the 360 and PS3.  An arcadeinabox PS3/360 stick would cost the same.  It's better to have two sticks for the same price.

I can tell just from looking at it that the standard stick is complete garbage.  The "premium" stick looks to be exactly like the ~$60 VF5 stick.

$130 for that is a joke.
