Okay, forget the assault on privacy, the needless wars, the utterly shitty environmental record, the belief that its okay to force women to have babies they don't want, the cigarillo-hatin, the xenophobia, the shitting on the poor and coddling of the rich, the attempt to kill social security, and so on and so forth.
Put all that under the table, just forget all about that. Isn't it entirely possible that the zeal for deregulation is the thing that Republicans are primarily responsible for that has done the most damage to the world at large?
We used to have safeguards to keep companies from getting too big, too greedy, too powerful. Now we've got Enron's and their legacy and companies that will slit old ladies throats if they can get a short-term stock boost out of it. The WORLD stock markets are expected to slump all this week because of all the stupid shit and the irresponsible loans that were great for short-term gain, but obviously not so great for any length of time past five years. The banking crisis in America is fucking up the world's economy the scale of it the fuckup is so great.
Maybe its because I'm still up at 4:22 AM, and I've worked 12-hours already today, and I'm tired and weary and just fucking sick of all the bullshit the GOP and the Forbes set keep shoveling and keep getting away with. And I can't help but see the wreckage all the wealthy fuckers leave behind on their way to their palatial mansions. I'm sick of it, I'm mad about it, and I know there's very little I can do about but vote for the lesser evil every time I step into the ballot box.
I'm just mad and venting. Fucking bastards.
