A lazy polak?

That's like a hard working black man!

I think you've got that backwards, unless the black man is hard working at smoking weed.

I've managed to get shit-face drunk two nights in a row this week on work-nights. My hangover is the stuff of legends.

The most I ever work is about 12-14 hours, but that's only been a handful of time in 8 years.  No such thing as overtime or extra pay though - if there were I'd probably do at least one big day a week since I like teh monies.

nobody should have to work more than 12 hours, ever.  yeah I've done the 48 hour T-SQL shift too (though I can't imagine 72).  it just leads to shitty work that will bite you/clients later on, probably causing other people to have to work 48 hour shifts of their own --> endless cycle.  plus it covers up more fundamental problems with your and your company's processes.  in a way it's actually the lazy way out.

yup. if you hafta work more than 40 hours a week, you either a) suck at planning; b) work for someone who sucks at planning; or c) are being horribly horribly exploited by your overlords.

13 hours would be a welcome change.  I'm supposed to only be here from 6am to 630pm but that hasn't been the case for the last several weeks.  On average I've been pulling out of the parking lot around 9pm. :(

Hey Prole if you worked 3 days straight did you sleep at the workplace?

sleep? i wasn't allowed to -- a major contract was riding on my work. i popped lots of vivarin and went totally insane, like hallucinating insane. the mere sight of a t-sql inner join makes me have a psychotic break these days. good times!
