yea that's my only beef with doing this.  but you can essentially build a mac that's faster than an imac or close to mac pro level for less than $500.  it's really tempting.

Read about this? Dongle that gives you EFI boot on your mixbreed PC. Needs compliant hardware in there, and the dongle costs monies, but when you get it working it seems like the OSX experience is fairly painless. Downloads updates straight from Apple without having to wait for haxxorized versions.

The caveat may be that Apple might lock this out down the line of course.

That dongle sounds pretty awesome.  But between the cost of the dongle and the cost of OSX you're pretty much paying a $250 premium PLUS the costs of outfitting a PC with compliant hardware.....at that point it seems like it'd be less hassle just to buy a real Mac.
