I saw it recently and was blown away by its intensity. Easily the most fucking bizarre thing Ive seen, and Ive seen Eraserhead, Videodrome and Shrunken Heads

Even the fucking opening scene has the kid feeding great white sharks sushi

And Mr Electric the bad guy; wtf were they thinking superimposing that dudes face onto that CG

The Spy Kids movies were decent, which is why I watched this.

I saw Spy-Kids 3-D without ever seeing the first two, and it was the most bizarre movie I've ever seen. I suppose it might have made sense if you saw the first ones, but I don't think I want to make sense out of an ending where Steve Buscemi flys down on a giant CG pig to give advice to a kid.

I haven't seen this movie or Spy Kids... BUT you know what a good kids movie with superheroes is?  Sky High.  No joke 

The trippiness of these movies sounds kinda amusing though.

I worked at a theater the summer Sharkboy and Lava Girl came out, and us ushers ended up memorizing Sharkboy's amazing lullaby song about punching the kid in the face. Wasn't the movie in 3-d? It was pretty weird.

You know what other kid's movie is trippy and awesome? Good Burger.  Dream sequence alone is worth the 6 dollar price of the DVD.
