I've bought two cans of nice, tasty Coke, and 1 lunch from McAlister's Deli consisting of a meatloaf sandwich, a fruit cup, and a pickle.

We used to have Taco Bell Doritos out here in the Seattle area in the late 90's, but they didn't stick around very long. They've been a midwest-only product for a long time now. Whenever we'd go back to visit my wife's family in Nebraska, I'd stock up on Taco Doritos at the local Super Target. I tend to get funny looks as I'm boarding the plane with a sack full of Doritos bags.  :lol

These appear to be a Halloween promotion. There's also an ad on the back of the bag for the PS3 version of the Ghostbusters video game.

you really need to cut back on buying things. It's an addiction and you don't get enjoyment out of it anyway.

Nothing

No more DVDs, no more games, no more anything other than essential expenses.  I just stashed $5000 in a savings account at a credit union last week.  I'm not going to shit my pants over the financial situation but I won't be pissing my money away either.

With Taco Doritos, some stores in the Midwest carry them, others don't.

Oh, I think the biggest buydayers on EB (TVC, MAF, Prole, myself) are fiscally responsible. My wife and I throw a ton of money into savings each month. I don't drink a whole lot, and I don't smoke, so the majority of my fun money goes towards frivolous stuff like movies, music and games.

I'm not accusing anyone here of being irresponsible.  I'm just talking about my own financial plans.

Buy foreign money, then spend it when you have a chance.  It helps take care of buying compulsion for day like this.

You need to start collecting something. Then you'll always have future purchases to fuel the compulsion.

Youre right, but I need to collect something that doesnt end in shame, like anime. You can't collect anime, cause it always starts coming down to that weird anime people look at you funny for and you have no actual interest in except completing some collection.

Pretty much the only thing you can collect without shame is sports memorabilia. It has a respectable macho vibe to it. I gave up collecting Star Wars and other action figures because of the nerly-nerds. There's just no distancing oneself from the stigma, and you're right. I had zero interst in the stuff outside of the obsession to get everything.

That just gets you lumped in with the "crazies" and Civil-War buffs for some reason. You'll likely just wind up on some agency's watch-list. Provided, of course, you're not already.
