You have to be the first retail worker that loves his store.
If I was forced to sell service plans to meet daily sales percentages then I would hate working for Best Buy. I don't have a supervisor anymore though so I don't have anyone telling me what to do. When I go to work, I basically do what I want to do. I tell customers what I want to tell them. I sell them what I want to sell them. I love what I do and that I'm allowed to do it. So far, anyways. I'm sure one of these days I'm going to end up helping out a secret shopper and they won't appreciate me telling them to shop somewhere other than Best Buy.
What's that? You need an HDMI cable? Just go to monoprice.com and get it for $5, we overprice them at $100 here.
What's that? You want to get the Arcade Xbox 360? Look man, just get the 20 GB Pro for only $50 more. That way you can save all your data without having to worry about buying a 512MB memory card that's $35.
What's that? You want to get this 80 GB PS3? Do you want to be able to play your Playstation 2 games? You don't want this one then. Look for the 60 GB or the 80 GB MGS4 bundle at another store or try online.
What's that? You want to buy all these blu-ray movies? If you're comfortable with shopping online, buy them on Amazon.com. They're $10-15 cheaper there than what you'd pay for them here.
What's that? Replacement plan? Honestly you don't need it. In fact, our new replacement plan is horrible. With the Geek Squad Black Tie Protection plan, we no longer give you a brand new system when you bring us your old one. You have to get a refurbished system sent to you while Best Buy tries to fix your old system. If anything, just use the company's 1 year manufacturer's warranty to get the same thing we'd give you except for free.
