Hell, if that thing is cheap enough, I'd consider buying a wheel. I can never get a decent set-up, and I'm too lazy to get the lumber out and build a stand.

I think it's about $115 or so and it's compatible with other wheels like the Logitechs or the official 360 wheel. The Porsche wheel itself was about $400 after tax.

Yeah, it's probably the craziest game accessory I've ever bought. I think it's worth it though. With the Porsche wheel, GTR and Rfactor on the PC feel so amazing and even GT5:P is pretty fun.

It's actually a bit easier to understand if you're playing GTR with it. I haven't played it myself, but from working at the old game store, all the racing enthusiasts who play it seemed to spend a bit on their set-ups.

You should check out GTR. I think a new game just came out last week. It's awesomely fun even with a 360 joypad. I sometimes just play GTR with a pad when I'm too lazy to setup the wheel.

Since I've been gaming, I've always preferred arcadey racing games over sims. For example, my favorite racing games from last gen were Rallisports, PGR, and Burnout. But for some reason, GTR just feels more right than console sims like GT or Forza. In GTR, I almost feel like I'm driving a car in real life.

I gave the Combine Wall litho a pretty damned nice frame. It's not nerdy if it looks cool, and people can legitimately ask "wow, that's oppressive, what is it?" It only gets nerdy after I drag out Raising the Bar for a show and tell session.
