Knight Rider is the best show on television

I'm so excited about the new Knight Rider that I'm going to channel myself age 8 to write a short story about the first twenty minutes of what is surely the best show on network TV.

KITT AND THE MISSLE

3/4/1984

KITT was driving michael and his girlfriend away from danger. KITT needed speed so KITT transformed from a pickup truck into a Shelby Cobra!

"Good job" said michael.

Suddenly warning alarms went off. A helicopter was following KITT!

"Oh no!" said Michael. "There's a missile locked on to us!"

"I cannot take any action!" said kitt.

meanwhile back at Knight Industries everyone wondered what to do to stop the missilel.

"release flares!" said michael. Kitt did but it didn't do anything! the missile hit KITT and KITT caught on fire! kITT was engulfed in flames!

"what do we do now" said michael? michael and his girlfriend started getting hot. kitt said that if the fire didn't get put out then they would both die!!!

meanwhile back at knight industries the sexy scientists ran simuation on how to stop the fire.

"You have to go at 375 miles an hour!" said the scientist Billy. "then the fire will be blown out!"

meanwhile michael and his girlfriend were getting hot. so they took off their clothes and were in their underware. "dont get any ideas!" said michaels girlfriend.

"taking off your clothes was a good course of action" said kitt.

kitt got up to 375 miles an hour. but the fire didnt go out!!!

the scientsits decided to have kITT come back to base. then kitt would drive in the tunnel and they would suck out the air to put out the fire.

kit drove into the tunnel and the air got sucked out. the fire went out too! but then kitt said "michael and his girlfriend dont have any oxygen!"

"open the door" said devon. "i'm trying to " said billy.

kitt reved his engine and started flying at the door!!!

"OPEN THE D*** DOOR!" said devon. "ALMOST!" said billy!

just as soon as kit was about to crash into the door it flew opened!!! michael and his girlfriend got oxygen and were saved!!!

Awesome, I like the variation in KITTs.

The writing in this show is beautiful. It truly portrays KITT's struggle to be human. A goal it can never achieve, because it is eternally doomed to be a Ford Mustang. Or a pickup or whatever Ford vehicle is sponsoring the show that week. It is almost like KITT is the new Spock:

Sarah: KITT, are you okay?
KITT: I am fine Sarah. Are you okay? I was worried about you and Michael.
Sarah: You were worried about us?
KITT: Yes.
Mike: You're a computer KITT, you can't worry.
KITT: Artificial intelligence, Michael. There is a difference. I have run it through my database several times and I believe worry is the appropriate word.

I just came to make a thread about how good the new Knight Rider is - I saw the movie length premier last night and it's kick ass!  I had extremely low expectations but they've done great.  KITT is awesome, and his voice and attitude are tops.  I worried they might try to turn him into something vastly different from the original.

The characters are good, and Sarah is hot.  Of course, Mike is also hot, almost as much as David Hasselhoff.  I like the all the little throwbacks to the original, it's great that's it's a continuation of the original rather that a reinvention.
