Funny Games has the best title sequence since Dawn of the Dead

I know this film is supposed to be a critique of excessive violence, but it seems practically giddy to get to maiming, raping and traumatizing it's characters.

The critics shit on this remake, but it's totes fuckin' awesome so far. The two scary murder boys are amazing, they're beyond creepy, like anti-Leo DeCaprios. And every shot is sot ight and tense, I'm waiting for the violence to start.

I still haven't seen the remake.  A shot-for-shot remake seems so completely unnecessary.  It's like "Here, America, I remade the movie but made it in english and put in a shiny hollywood star so you dumbasses will finally watch it."

I can't believe someone gave him the money to make that movie TWICE. I guess I liked it, although it's not quite clever enough to be an "art" film, nor violent enough to be a horror film, nor suspenseful enough to be a thriller. And far from being a detriment, that kind of qualifies it as it's own thing, but it's also indefensible, which is a bummer for a film with so much, supposedly, to talk about.

Funny Games is wicked awesome. It's a film that grabs by the balls and very slowly rips them off. Yeah the shot by shot remake was a bit unnecessary but at least it's not an insulting "reimagining" and it gave me a chance to view the film the theatre with an unsuspecting audience.

Cache is probably my favorite of his films which i've seen.  i went on a bit of a bender earlier this year
