I didn't get into Killzone 2, nor did I get into the private Resistance 2 beta, nor did I get into the first wave of Home beta.  Actually, the only ones I get into are the ones with pre-order codes or really open public ones, but that is the case with beta on other systems as well (Red Faction on 360 and Battlefield Heroes on PC).

So far (I don't think I'm even supposed to talk about this shit...is it NDA? whatever) it's shit.  The character customization is straight out of Fight Night, except worse.  The hair styles are distinguished mentally-challenged and my guy looks like a douche.  I had to wait 3 minutes to download the next area I walked to.  I don't even know what to do here.

and you can't even do in-game xmb while playing. lol.

Wow, is this a joke? I had to run across this big ass empty area to get to the mall, and now I need to download that.

There were like 4 or 5 other people who I assume were also new to the world.

The mall is actually pretty packed.  More people here than in the Wii verison of Dead Rising.

So, the beta doesn't have any of the uncharted rooms or thins like that.  All the arcade games pretty much suck (one is a clone of Flip It for the Jaguar), the parlor games are boring, and I can't see what is the point of this.  The most entertaining aspect of this for me has been going up to guys dressed as thugs and hitting them with the twist, then following them until they eventually leave.  I don't see why anyone would want this.

I have seen exactly two women so far, but they could have just been guys dressed as women, so that can't be the reason.

And the only fun thing to do in this game is grief others, and by fun, I mean it helps distract you from the actual boredom that comes with home.  I played some chess match against this guy who bailed as I had him in check, so I chased him down.  THIS IS SO USELESS.

I was hoping Yoshida would can home when he took over. This reeks of Phil Harrison.

Are you in the beta? I want someone on my friends list to be in the beta so I can try out the game creation thing before never touching it again.  I stood around the lobby asking with a Wipeout HD room open and apparently that wasn't enticing enough to get people stop experiencing home.

Yes, but I can't connect.

Does your connection screen say "Intialising"?

I wasn't really looking.  It loaded, then I hit X and said I understand this icon meant it was saving, then I accepted the rules of whatever, then I got in and made my character.

Try re-downloading it or something.

And apparently I got this beta for downloading the home theme from a while back.

I've redownloaded it three times. No dice for me. I don't really wanna be in home anyway. :D

You really aren't missing anything at all.  The hour or so I "played" tonight was probably the only hour I will ever try of the beta or full product.

This shit sounds laughably stupid, the Jaguar game ripoff in the arcade and chasing down people sounds like the most interesting things about it. Pleeeeease tell me the next firmware update isn't gonna force me to download this shyt.
