been watching the first couple seasons on dvd. like it, not sure if i love it. there are episodes that are just sitcom clichés 2 THE EXTREME -- you can't get laughs out of dead structures simply by adding CRACK COCAINE or RACIAL INSENSITIVITY. but there are great episodes too. i'm curious to see whether it gets better or worse as it goes on. and charlie is just such a lovable spaz. comedy these days is crawling with manchildren, most of whom are completely unfunny and repellent, but CHARLIE MAKES IT WORK. everything he does is funny!

The first 2 seasons are very hit and miss.  Season 3 is much more consistent, although there are still a few clunkers.  Season 4 is all good so far.  Even the "bad" eps tend to have some worthwhile bits.
