pardon me for sounding stupid, but isn't it becoming extremely difficult to get anymore raw processing power out of a single CPU now? I thought multi-unit processors were the wave of the future, and as such a mere %100 gain in the next generation isn't really so bad. Seeing as how R&D costs were ridiculous, and game development NOW is crippling, slowing down the tech advances makes sense, right?
And there's a fuckton of difference between two Gamecubes=Wii and two PS3s=whatever in terms of power, right? Am I a moron for not getting what all the hubbub is about?
Uhhh I think they should worry about PS3 first
This generation is a lost cause. The best Sony can do is position themselves for the next round, Microsoft is doing the same already. The difference between the two is Sony might actually make a modest profit on the PS3 before everything is said and done.
