Watching him on Larry King and he seems to have a firm grasp on the economic situation. I don't even disagree with his viewpoints or recommendations. And he's one of the few conservatives that don't regurgitate McTesty's talking points (McCain is a maverick, Obama sat on the sidelines, etc.). But then gets all up in arms over stuff like right to life and it kills the whole fantasy.

Ben Stein seems all logical and reasonable, and then he makes that fucking stupid movie about intelligent design...

Came in here to post this. Attempting to link the theory of evolution to the Holocaust wasn't too bright.

I think Ben Stein is one of those dudes that just went crazy after 9/11, because there was no indication of this behavior previously.

It is a shame, because he's a funny dude.

Yeah, but I'd never before seen him support something as senseless as intelligent design.  Supporting Nixon is at least 2 levels smarter than intelligent design.

Like Dennis Miller. He was never good at thinking on his feet, but his prepared rants were always worthwhile for geeky references. I think when we were attacked, he folded up like a deckchair.
