dang, it might be the best co-op shooter this year. I especially like that a downed partner can still do last-stand while waiting to be revived.

The graphics also look a lot better than I expected.

Did you play Brothers in Arms? You could get 950 points the first play through. No multiplayer ones, well, there are, but worth 0 points, no beat it on hard mode...

But there's one for playing it on a certain day. I'll play it then.

I can't even log in to the web page and transfer my COD4 account over, it keeps loading the same page over and over even though I filled it out like 10 different times

Apparently the beta starts on the 13th and the two ways to get a code now are really dumb. One requires a long time membership to eurogamer, the other requires learning spanish. I might just go pre-order at Gamestop to get the code and cancel right after.

APPARENTLY

Even though I must have given it to them at least half a dozen times in the past few years, Gamestop did NOT have my email address in their system.

So I gave it to them YET AGAIN, but I might not get into the beta.

I'm pretty fucking pissed, that's pure incompetence on their part - the last time I reupped my edge card (in August) I remember the girl behind the counter asking me to spell my fucking email address out for her.

I'm actually thinking about calling the 1-888 number and complaining, and threatening to cancel the $350 worth of preorders I have with them. I mean, fuck em, the free shit is the only reason I preorder anyway - I can walk into any of the, I don't know, dozen stores within a mile radius and buy any game I want on release day.

You all know my love of WWII fps games - this would be the one beta I'd want to get into, and goddamned Gamestop might have fucked me out of it.

So I called 1-800 number just to make sure I was in there, considering I preordered the game back in early September. The guy tells me their database won't be updated until the first of the week, and if I don't have a code by Thursday to call back. Basically, I was told to wait a week for something I'm supposed to have right now, call if I don't get it, and then probably wait another week after that. By the time I actually get that code, the beta might have a day or so left. Even though I preordered early, and have given them my email over and over again.

Gamestop is like a perfect storm of incompetence.

Do they give your money back if you cancel preorders, or do you have to put that towards store credit, or what

because I'm cancelling everything

If I don't get into the beta by Monday morning, there is probably going to be no chance that I will ever buy this game. Right now the track record with the devs is: 0 good websites / 1 distinguished mentally-challenged website. I can only believe that they are as incapable of making a proper game as they are at making a proper website. They could prove me wrong by letting me try the beta, but all the methods are fucked up. Even the Japanese are able to do a beta than these guys. Treyarch is the shame of the entire western society.
