Another half year, another terabyte.  Guess it's time for my third full terabyte drive. 

Things are getting to be an organizational disaster.  My music library is now spread between 2 drives, and so is my video.  The problem with "fixing" my organizational problems is that media programs can be set up to read from specific, default library directories, so moving things around seems to break xml libraries and things sometimes get lost in the shuffle.  But I need to reorganize at this point.

I have actually been considering getting rid of my external hard drives that are around 300-500 megs each and just getting one or two huge ass chunks of memory.  It is getting hard to manage these things and I am running out of physical space to put them.

Yeah, I'm thinking of setting up a tower as a media server, but at this point, for it to make economical sense, I need it to have at least 4 TB HDDs.  I'm not sure how many HDDs most cases out there are built to hold, but I'm getting to the point where I actually need a server.  I've also been lax about backups since I filled my first TB, so I need to get back on that.

The other big problem for me is actually knowing what is on what hard drive.  If I wasn't so lazy I would sit down and make a list of what is where, but instead I end up wasting 2 minutes trying to find something every time I need to find it.
