however it is still under warranty. should i send it in? cuz i suppose there's the possibility it could be something other than dust or dirt.

the ta-88v3 still hasn't been hacked. however after some googling i found out that there is a new mobo (ta-90) that is supposedly pandorable.

why would sony put a new motherboard in that allows cfw after finally defeating it?

i don't understand wtf he's saying, but it doesn't look like ta88v3 mobos will be hacked anytime soon and it'll suck if the 3000's use the same type of protection as them

Well, that sucks.  I will still buy the 3000 on launch day and keep it official (ugh) until things get worked out.  I still have a large collection of PSP games...then again I don't think I can ever play Outrun 2 on umd ever again.
