where do i get farmers? how do i build a farm? oh god interface so bad
You have visitors that come to your own, as shown by their pictures on the left side of the screen. Some of them will have a little pitchfork by their name, those are the farmers. You click on the portrait of the farmer and it will bring up a menu of options. One of those options will be to build a house for that person. This will bring up a zoomed out view of the town with green squares scattered around, those are the places where you can put a building. Put down the farm somewhere. The farmer will immediately start producing food.
If no farmer appears on the list of visitors, you can click on the button at the top of the screen, above the portraits, to bring in a new set of visitors. Keep doing this until a food-producing visitor appears. If you run out of money before getting a food-producing unit, go out and kill some monsters to get more gold.
