Question about Titan Quest Gold
« on: October 05, 2008, 03:09:30 PM »
Is it just the two games packaged separately or did they merge the two?  I'm thinking of giving TQ another try but it used to give me random crashes.   I dunno if it was due to me playing it on Vista though.

its like diablo II and expansion, once the expansion is with it, its one game. Game+ Expansion runs great in Vista. Cept the crystals near the last boss, or when you first enter the tower, but thats not Vistas fault- thats the lack of a new patch since forever since pirates killed Ironlore.

So is Gold just one installation or separate?  Because I bought and installed the two separately so I was hoping that Gold might have been a slightly different version.

Maybe my 280GTX drivers were at fault though. The last time I played TQ was when I upgraded to the 280 GTX and launch drivers are always a bit buggy with less popular games.

the expansion install augments the original games install, it'll run fine on vista, i've played it on vista 100% of the time on two different PCs.

Ok, sounds like a driver problem then.  I'll give it another try and if it doesn't work then I'll try the Steam version.

Is it worthwhile to play TQ MP or is it plagued by cheating problems?

most people just use it to trade items, its largely a single player experience imo. netcode was always a little weird

That's too bad but I guess Diablos 3 is coming out pretty soon anyway.
