Dreamy post-rock. I've heard their music described as something like distilled joy. I like what I've heard of them.

They are pretty trailer- and ad-friendly.

The ending of Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou is all you really need to understand how awesome Sigur Ros's music is.

i don't know anymore. i used to think they were pretty pretty prog musicians whose songs were secretly about hobbits. i still liked them as accompaniment to a morning joint. but i no longer have access to my musical taste, and i'm not sure it ever amounted to much anyway
