So........Sacred 2 demo

The demo is out and I tried it today.   Doesn't seem like it'll replace Titan Quest/Diablo II for me...even after turning down the voices all the way ("Aieeeeeee!"), I was having issues with the interface--am I blind or is there no slot for weapons?  I could switch them out by right clicking on new weapons, but I like to compare stats and stuff.  Looting was weird too...what key shows you the loot names before you pick stuff up?  It's all concentrated in one pile and I couldn't find a way to see all of it before picking it up.   Granted, that all could be on my end...if so, let me know!  Above all, combat wasn't too satisfying and felt kinda floaty.  The animation is awkward too.  Doesn't seem like a day 1 game for me.

Lastly, even on high, it was still jittery and below 60fps...I have 2gb ram, 8800gts 512, E6750 overclocked to 3.04ghz, and I'm running it at 1440x900.

it really is a game that requires a certain...weakness for lesser diablo clones. I hope the sequel is at least as good since I need something to tide me over to Diablo III and have played at least 200 hours of Titan Quest.

There's some other nice free stuff there as well like Thief Deadly Shadows, Hitman, Hitman 2, Fallout, Second Sight, Blood Omen 2, Deus Ex, Commandos 3, Sam & Max ep. 4, etc.

Sacred has never been particularly "proud."  It was loved by the same set that digs all sorts of janky eastern european games.

I didn't see anything particularly consolized about it.  If the PC demo is this unoptimized, the console versions are probably suffering as well.

Still, it was better than the Too Human demo, I'll give it that.
