What are some levels I should download?  So far, I find the gameplay kinda boring and the graphics a little too soft.

The engine seems to be really versatile though so the fun will all depend on the creativity of the level creators.

I'm assuming it will be a bit like browsing for good UT/2K content; somewhere amidst the "big version of my bedroom, check out the cat lol" and "it's from The Simpsons" there will be little nuggets of awesome.

Like what I played of the game, but I find the graphics to be a bit blurry in motion, Smooth is this what you mean when you say the graphics look too "soft"? I'm a sucker for 2D platforming so this is high on my list, even if I don't have the autism necessary to build a massive and creative level anymore.

Got a code earlier, thanks for the heads up Eel.  :-*

Got to play past the first two stages a bit ago, haven't done any creating yet. I think I'll save it for the weekend.

So far, impressions are: floaty, blurry, and fun. Fun in a neat toy/garry's mod way. I'm curious to see if this can hold my interest.

Yes, it's like they lightly smeared Vaseline over the otherwise pretty visuals.  From the screenshots, I had expected the game to look a lot crisper.

In the same boat. I don't want to tackle the creator until I've got some time to spend playing with it this weekend, but if work is slow enough tomorrow, I may start messing with it. And yeah, hopefully it can keep my interest as well.

Many thanks, Costanza. 8)

I wanted to nitpick on the visuals, too, but I decided I'd rather just live without drohne going OMG YOUR AN XFAG, but he did that anyway, so what the heck.

That was fun, nice change of pace from the wargame bender that I've been on for the past, well, year more or less. They pretty much nailed it, both in terms of presentation and ease of use. Whether "it" is a good thing or not, I can see how opinions on that could vary quite a bit.

Does it have to be an Eyetoy, or can you use any webcamera?

Apparently Eyetoy only.  I'm actually considering picking one up for this.   Well, depending on how cheap they are.

they're $24.99 used at gamestop

using my discount card i paid $24 even for mine with tax

but, you can use almost any usb camera on the ps3

here's an extremely list of known compatible cameras:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/burnout-paradise/2702-compatible-usb-cams-photo-trophy.html

EDIT:  hmm, i'm reading conflicting things about the usb camera support - i'd say if you're on the fence wait until release to see what works

i find the camera a bit difficult to use, having to hold stuff up to it is a pain (i'll probably rig up some sort of stand when the game comes out), and the lighting has to be just right or everything has a yellowish cast to it

also, i sent out a bunch of friend requests last night
