Third season.

His episodes aren't completely awful, because his plotline is always balanced with a medical mystery and the usual banter.

But I honestly can't think of any guest star or recurring character who was as completely out of sync with the rest of the show they were on as David Morse was on House. It's almost impressive in its way.
