Ok, so how much ass is in the game? Are there lots of ass-shots? Does the main girl still have the tramp-stamp tattoo? Is her voice sexy? Inquiring perverts want to know.
No, not really. Her voice kinda sucks, but all the voice acting does so whatever. It actually adds to the cheesy barbarian atmosphere. She does get different outfits so maybe the later ones are more perverted. I know the original GA one is in there.
Seriously though, how's the atmosphere? The stuff I've seen has lots of huge carcasses lying around in smoldering ruins and stuff. Looks cool. Does it seem unique?
Very generic hack n' slash game/barbarian fantasy atmosphere. The game is pretty gory though; you can slice people in half, slice limbs off, and even the beasts die in pretty gory ways. The blood flies. I stand by my opinion that is an average hack n' slash title. Basically you move forward, fight, ride some beasts and fight, get potions/health, and avoid traps. Very arcade-style in that way.
I am on level three right now, and the difficulty has also been steadily increasing, as have the enemy types and traps. The first level is basically training and should not be taken as representing the challenge level of the rest of the game. You get introduced to everything as you go (even in the second level), and then they start throwing it all together at you. So for example, there are these Death Adder statues off in the distance that you need to hit with the Golden Axe to break and open a gate. Behind the gate is an enemy generator; enemies will not stop coming at you until it is destroyed. And since the generator is there, you have got enemies all over the place; there's two huge dudes with armor (armored enemies cannot be killed until you break off all their armor) that can grab you and slam you down, lots of smaller guys with axes slashing at you, and then a shaman or two keeping distance and hitting you with spells or causing huge rocks to fall on you. So while parrying/dodging and taking down these enemies and avoiding the shaman's attacks, you have got to hit those Death Adder statues and get behind that gate, then work on destroying the generator while fighting more enemies.
I liked that part. Now what I DON'T like is how suddenly these armored knights charge at me with lances and just knock me off bridges or cliffs. This doesn't happen in the earlier parts of the game.
And the beasts are fun to use. One can turn invisible so you can get right behind guys and take them out with one attack, and another (a more gorilla-like beast) has the most overpowering attacks...I didn't even use its specials and just ground-pounded the hell out of everything the entire part of the level I rode it in.
