I'm blind without my glasses (this is my greatest weakness if you ever fight me). I actually have two pairs, one comfortable pair for home that falls off my face, then one that isn't so comfortable for when I go out.

I've noticed my ability to read signs from far away has greatly reduced. I've had perfect eyesight my whole life so this is definitely a new occurrence. I think my eye appointment is in January.

I've been wearing glasses since I was two. I got contacts when I was 12, and wore them pretty much all the time until I went to graduate school and found a pair of glasses I love. Now I only wear contacts three or four times a month.

I need a pair of glasses, I've gone without them for a while but when I'm watching TV from afar or going to the movies, it sucks being without a pair. I've been so lazy about setting something up with an Optometrist.

good pair of glasses > contacts > cheap glasses

I used to wear cheap glasses and I hated them so I switched to contacts but they were too much of a hassle. So I saved a bit and bought a decent pair of glasses and I loves them.

Unlike my old cheap glasses, they don't rust, they don't leave marks on the side of my face or on my nose, they fit my face properly, they're more durable, and they actually look good.

I started wearing glasses at 7. I also had an eye patch to wear over my left eye while watching TV and stuff, because it was stronger that my right. I got contacts at like 13 or 14 and stopped wearing them at 18. Now my eyes are just fine without anything. Pretty lucky!

Yup, my eyesight is terrible. It suddenly got even worse a couple of years ago, and shitloads of doctor visits and such later, I just gave up on it.

But I got myself some glasses I really like. Nice style, cool designs.

I'm glad my eyes are so fucking strong. My brother always warned me I'd get glasses before I'd get 18 every time I championed my perfect eyesight and belittled him for his less than perfect eyesight. Everyone in the family has glasses or contacts except me.

Would you consider getting Lasik though? My brother can't get contacts because his eyes are like yours, but he refuses to get Lasik because it would be admitting failure - ie even though he's had glasses since he was 9 he continues to pretend that he really doesn't need them, and that he can see just as well as anyone else.
