Shield S7 ending predictions
« on: October 15, 2008, 05:44:27 PM »
I know we have another thread somewhere, but it's fallen into disuse.

Have the forum fans been keeping up?  How do you think the show will end?

Right now, I can't help but think it's going to end with Ronnie and Vic killing Shane, and then Ronnie killing Vic.  Either that or (and I think there is a slimmer chance of this) Vic Mackey's distinguished mentally-challenged Daughter will kill Vic.

- Shane will not kill Vic.  Shane will find out just how toxic Vic is and realize that it is much easier to let him sink than to go after him.  Shane will probably get injured or killed for fucking with the wrong people.  A good chance that he might have a Tavon like situation where he is in a coma.

- Ronnie will not kill Shane or Vic.  He's turning more hard edged but he won't be throwing his career away.  Ronnie will probably go back to the detective pool or transfer to another division.

- Vic will leave the force disgraced but unharmed.  There will be awkward scenes between now and the end where he cries to Claudette and Aceveda.  Claudette will be indifferent and Aceveda will take sick joy in it.  Vic will try to play his hand but the powers that be, realizing how little power he actually has, dismisses him.  This is where Vic will start pleading to keep his job.

- Vic's dumbass daughter will not be a significant force of harm.  Her plot use was only for scaring Danny away, which was successful.

All in all I don't expect anyone except Shane to really die or anything bad.  I think that everyone will have seen that coming and I could see the writers coming up with a plot twist where in the last scene, Vic walks out alone while everyone in the Barn watches as he leaves.

I dunno, Shawn Ryan distinctly used the word "Shakespearean" when describing S7.  That means final act bloodbath, which is why I think something like Vic and Ronnie kill Shane, then Ronnie kills Vic is totally on the table. They've been playing up Ronnie's frustration with Vic, too, which was something that wasn't around (or at least stated much) before this season.

I just don't see a situation where most of the Strike Team winds up dead.

Shane will obviously die, but he'll most likely be killed by Ronnie.  I'm thinking that Two-man's assassination will get fucked up somehow while Vic is with Pezuela or somewhere alone.  I'm thinking that TM might actually just hire somebody and then Vic and Ronnie will break some arms to connect the dots directly to Shane.

It sounds like Claudette's health is a lot worse than she was letting on which makes me think that she'll die by the end of the season.  But not before having something major to do with Vic's Pezuela/retirement situation.

I don't think Pezuela will actually trust Vic when he magically shows up with the blackmail box.  I think that Pezuela will try to get some more assassins ready to take out Vic since he's too much of a liability once Pezuela has the actual box.  My bet is that Pezuela will coordinate with Olivia to smuggle in some assassins/guns and she'll tip off Vic making him then take out Pezuela.  Maybe Vic will find out about Shane hiring TM and do another Armenian style massacre to take out all of his enemies, including Pezuela.

Danny will probably go away forever and never be found by Vic.

If Vic goes after Shane and Pezuela at once, which it seems like he'll have to do, I can see him getting caught somewhere and the series will end with Vic getting arrested for murder or something.

wildcard: there's a possible chance that Cassidy shoots Shane or TM in order save Vic.

Aren't there spoilers already out there?  Someone posted them on Opa-Age, but fortunately I was drunk so I forget exactly what happens.

I can see one more member of the Strike Team dying, but it's really up in the air on who it might be (my guess is Shane or Ronnie). If Two-face does end up killing Ronnie, I can't see how Shane would walk away with no consequence -- but as The Experiment said, I can't see a situation where most of the Strike Team winds up dead.
