My friend was trying to force me to see this with him at the movies, but it never happened because:

1. I hate horror movies
2. It got terrible reviews
3. Unoriginal premise

Huh?  It's not a shot for shot remake at all.  There are some very similar scenes and the set looks a lot alike, but it's not the same at all.  The pacing is so much different as well.  [REC] has a much more stable buildup while Quarantine just seemed like it was throwing shit in there every few minutes just so you wouldn't decide to walk out of the theater.
