Is there a fan translation of the DQ III super famicom remake?

IV got me in the mood to play another DQ game. III seemed like an obvious choice. Problem for me is actually playing it. I have a DS and micro, so I can't play the Color remake easily. Still I wanted to check it out, so I played it on an emulator for a bit and the graphics take some getting used to. After playing IV on DS it's kinda hard to go back to non-animated monsters on a white background.

So I read the game had been remade on the Super Famicom and the screens for that look very good... Is there a decent fan translation for it out there? It'd be awesome to play that version. I searched for a bit, but didn't find anything

i don't think there's ever been one that's been completed   you'd think someone would just put in all the dialog from the GBA version, but no one's done it yet

Well yeah. My search lead my to this DQ fan board where there was talk of an incomplete version, but that thread was dated in '04. I was hoping there would've been a complete one by now :'(

There is but it is incomplete.

The translation really started getting bad at the part where you were at the casino/game board location.  After that, it was practically all in Japanese or partial English.  Probably the one that was discussed on the DQ fan board.

Eventually, all of it became Japanese and I stopped playing then.
