As for MAF, I just felt like calling him out. He complains about how corrupt GAF admins are, but he turns around and does the same kind of stuff he says they do. I just personally find that kind of funny. What I was stressing was not more complex than that. But it's in the past now.

Which is disappointing, because the game had the potential to be best FF ever. And there's no reason why it shouldn't have been because of how long they worked on it.

Final Fantasy is pretty much dead to me. If FFXIII is bad I call it quits and hang up my FF/Square Enix jacket.

idk though, the gameplay to story ratio is my sort of thing because SMT has weaned me on it and actually made it a preference. However, the actual gameplay is pretty boring. Bounty hunting sidequest stays fun about about 2-3 kills, and the battle system gets really old and really fast too.

Atleast the story and characters are interesting and the game has a huge ass world. But like, what's with having a huge ass world without tons of sidequests.

When I think of FFXII, I think of waste of potential.

The story is interesting for like the first 30% of the game. Then it completely falls apart. Slowly but surely you watch it crumble.
Also, Balthier, Basch, and Ashe are the only good characters.
Vaan barely gets by.
Penelo and Fran are quite possibly the worst characters in the history of Final Fantasy. No joke.

Freya was a pretty solid character.
Amarant was lacking, but still served an individual purpose.
Cait Sith was, well, Cait Sith, but again, he did play a key role in the development of the story at one point.
Umaro wasn't THAT bad.
FFV is a game that was never made to focus strongly on character development, ditto for I-III.

But all of these characters have some kind of history and at least somewhat of an individual purpose that ties into the story.

Fran and Penelo do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Cait Sith is the single most worst character in an rpg to date. He is on par with Carth from KotoR. Not to mention the fact his "master" is a fucking pussy. Cait Sith is a fucking PUPPET and yet Reeve never has the balls to go out and fight for himself, even AFTER revealing himself and well after FFVII (in the crappy side stories and bullshit). What a pussy.

Umaro was too bad. He's awful. OOGA OOGA. Just die you walking snowman.

FFI-III and V didn't place emphasis on character development but that doesn't negate the fact their plots and characters fucking sucked.
